Colts’ defense looks to add pressure against Jaguars

Jaguars CB Davon House: He has 18 passes defensed this season and is likely to draw a healthy dose of WR T.Y. Hilton, a Floridian who is averaging 15.8 yards per reception.

By contrast, the Colts counter with backup Matt Hasselbeck, who is 40 and playing with neck and rib injuries.

However, those injuries should not keep him out of Sunday’s game at Jacksonville.

With a 4-8 record after back-to-back disappointing losses to San Diego and Tennessee, the Jaguars are all but out of the playoff chase. At the time, the Colts said Luck was expected to miss two to six weeks.

Given the number of close games the Jaguars have been involved in this season, it wouldn’t be surprising to see Myers get a shot at redemption on Sunday.

The Colts needed overtime for a 16-13 win over the visiting Jaguars on October 4 – the first game Luck missed in his career because of an injured right shoulder.

The Colts have won six consecutive games in the series.

Indianapolis, which has handled both ineffectiveness & accidents, most notably to show star quarterback Andrew Luck, has now lost greater than 5 games for the 1st time since Luck joined the team in 2012. Brown also recorded two receiving touchdowns on offense to become the first Steeler to record a punt return for a touchdown and two receiving touchdowns in the same game.

While Pagano turned to hyperbole when asked about the working relationship between a Colts’ pass rush that isn’t exerting the necessary pressure and a secondary that isn’t adequately covering, he made his point nonetheless.
