Columbus Short Snatched Up by Bounty Hunters at Universal Studios
Columbus Short had a few party crashers during his album release celebration Tuesday night… bounty hunters and sheriffs who were there to arrest him.
Short was subsequently let go from his hit show amid the arrest and other allegations of spousal abuse.
On Tuesday night, the former Scandal star was arrested on a bench warrant because he failed to show up to a recent court case over a very serious issue – domestic abuse.
Just as he was about to do a soundcheck in a club at Universal Studios City Walk in L.A., he was picked up.
The bounty hunters had arrived because they were anxious that Short would flee the country, and they had been told they would get a cut of the $500,000 bail. The actor and singer was reportedly headed inside to do a sound check when several bounty hunters and officers swooped in to take him into custody. “No additional information is available at this time”.
“I had a lot on my plate, and you know, I was using unhealthy ways to kind of self-medicate and deal with a lot of heavy duty stuff in my life…”
