Comic-Con 2015 Starts Today in San Diego!

For the second time in 16 years, Tate Ottati, arbiter of everything nerdy, will skip this week’s Comic-Con worldwide in San Diego, the annual dump of superhero movies, long lines and A-list celebrities on the West Coast.

Murray was on hand to promote his upcoming comedy “Rock the Kasbah”, in theaters October 23, in which he plays a washed-up rock promoter who becomes stranded in Afghanistan. It was the Storm Troopers who helped start the Comic-Con costume craze light years ago.

Holding court in Hall H for over an hour is no easy task for mere mortal celebs.

Microsoft has a full plate of events ready for San Diego Comic-Con this weekend, both in and around the convention area. We were taught you don’t have to get tense while working.

While the number of miles seems a little random, it’s the exact distance from Rancho Obi-Wan in Petaluma, CA, to Comic-Con in San Diego. The two were also guest artists in Minnesota comic shows, where they showcased their talents.

Kevin told the San Diego Union-Tribune: “When you lose somebody, you look for things like that. There’s a lot of people who don’t get excited about much at all… that’s pretty cool, it’s nerdy but some of the best parties I’ve ever been to were with really insane nerds”.

What an overwhelming atmosphere it must be to experience the unity and mutual joy of almost 150 thousand fellow fans from all different walks of life – united in the love and passion for one television show. It’s an entertainment convention, and while it may attract comic-book dealers from across the country, anxious to sell their rare and hard-to-find comics to a bunch of customers they don’t often see, the offerings cover a huge bandwidth, and SDCC covers a host of “fandoms”, the various social tribes that crop up around particular geeky genres. Comic-Con is also offering shuttle buses to hotels in downtown San Diego, Mission Valley, Harbor Island and Shelter Island.

Bill Murray feels right at home just about anywhere he goes, but Comic-Con seems to especially suit him.

As Comic-Con has grown, it has spilled to the encompassing areas of the conference middle, with studios and TV networks discovering new methods to interact with fans. Fellow cast members Jenna Coleman and Michelle Gomez, plus lead writer and executive producer Steven Moffat were also set to take part in the session. So what exclusive material can we expect to surface?
