Confirmed: PSG poised to sign Benjamin Stambouli from Tottenham
The experienced midfielder will leave Paris Saint-Germain during the summer transfer window with Arsenal and Liverpool ready to make an offer according to reports.
The 24-year-old signed for Spurs from Montpellier for a reported fee of £4.7 million last summer, but subsequently struggled to establish himself in Mauricio Pochettino’s side.
PSG manager Laurent Blanc has confirmed that Benjamin Stambouli will complete his move away from Tottenham this afternoon.
Former France and Manchester United defender Blanc told Le Parisien: “Benjamin will definitely join us Monday afternoon”.
“He has to pass a medical test and once this is the case he will be with us”.
“We know the position of both the player and club are incompatible”, the PSG trainer was quoted as saying by the newspaper.
Spurs have been busy reshaping their squad during the close season.
Tottenham have overseen a large turnover of players this season, with Kieran Trippier, Kevin Wimmer and Toby Alderweireld joining the club, while Paulinho, Etienne Capoue and Younes Kaboul have left White Hart Lane.
