Confirmed: We Will See The Hulk In Thor: Ragnarok
Mark Ruffalo is in final negotiations to appear as Bruce Banner, aka the Incredible Hulk, opposite Chris Hemsworth’s Thor in Marvel’s “Thor: Ragnarok”, sources have confirmed. A report from the Hollywood trade site Deadline says Ruffalo and Marvel Studios are “near a deal” and “it’s indeed happening”. The movie will be Mark’s third appearance on screen as Hulk, though he has yet to get his own solo film. In the comics, Hulk and Thor have clashed many times before, even having an animated movie called “Hulk vs. Thor” made (which featured a mind-controlled Hulk rampaging through Asgard).
Thor: Ragnarok’s plot is still a bit of a mystery, considering we don’t know where all the Avengers will be once the film hits theaters, but the story is reportedly about a world-ending event that will obviously now involve the Hulk.
Kiwi director Taika Waititi was hired by Marvel to lighten up their upcoming Thor movie, a new report suggests.
Tom Hiddleston, who plays Loki, and Jamie Alexander, who plays Lady Sif, are also returning to the franchise.
When we last saw the Hulk in Avengers: Age of Ultron he was on a plane as it descended into the sea. Taika Waititi is set to direct, and the film is now scheduled for a November 3, 2017 release.
Before appearing in Ragnarok Hulk star Mark Ruffalo will reprise his role as Dylan Rhodes in director Jon M. Chu’s Now You See Me: The Second Act.
