Connie Britton and Hayden Panettiere slated for ‘Nashville’ fifth season
News of the group’s decision to return for Season 5 comes on the heels of Will Chase (Luke Wheeler) and Aubrey Peeples’ (Layla Grant) departure from the series. There’s a reason ABC axed the show in the first place, so if CMT wasn’t revamping the series in some way it would actually be more disconcerting.
As expected, stars Connie Britton, Hayden Panettiere and seven other castmembers have signed new deals to return for the country music drama’s upcoming fifth season, sources confirmed to The Hollywood Reporter. Should the report pan out, Nashville’s fifth season will feature the bulk of its original cast – which is news every fan will likely be relieved to hear! The 22-episode season will be broadcast on CMT and streamed on Hulu. While on her way back to reunite Avery and her baby, Juliette’s plane went missing.
Viewers will finally learn of the country pop diva’s fate as Juliette’s story line continues next season on CMT.
