Conor McGregor celebrates title win by hosting his own UFC press conference

The trials and tribulations of fighting for a living often mean that a young body can have more miles on the clock than meets the eye, but this accusation can’t be pointed at Aldo.

And, is also the fastest finish in UFC title-fight history, beating former female women’s champ Ronda Rousey’s previous mark of 14 seconds, set at UFC 184 in February.

After watching the fight, Aldo still can’t pinpoint his exact mistake.

McGregor feels that even if the fight had gone longer, the result would’ve been the same. “I’d said I’d slip and bang the left hook”.

As Pederneiras told Combate, Aldo was not phased by McGregor’s taunts at all, either.

McGregor is a box-office dream for UFC. If I go up to that lightweight division, there is no way in hell that I am vacating my belt.

While he is open to that possibility, McGregor is keen to fight the victor of the upcoming lightweight title clash between champion Rafael dos Anjos and Donald Cerrone.

“There’ll be a belt on both shoulders”.

McGregor’s next fight will be a title bout at either featherweight or lightweight.

Not content with claiming his first UFC championship, McGregor immediately signalled his intention to become the first fighter to hold two titles simultaneously in two weight divisions. “That’s what I’m hoping doesn’t happen”.

And McGregor says whatever he does, it will sell tickets and pay-per-views. “I’m bringing these numbers, and sky’s the limit”, he added. After all, he opened his UFC 194 news conference by noting that the event generated a U.S.-record gate of $10.1 million.

Though he had a conversation with UFC President Dana White after the loss, the pair didn’t talk about what’s next.
