Coolpad Note 3 ‘Just Touch’ smartphone priced at Rs 8999 launched exclusively

Meanwhile, sharing more about the partnership plan, Johnson Luo, Coolpad Vice President said that in the first quarter of 2016, the first product of the Made-in-India Coolpad phone would enter the Smartphone market in India. It is clocked at 1.3GHz Octa-Core 64-bit MediaTek MT6753 processor with Mali-T720 MP2 GPU clubbed with 3GB RAM under the hood. It packs in 16GB of storage and a MicroSD card slot that supports up to 64GB of storage. It will be available only in white for the time-being. Both rear and Front-facing cameras will come with a CMOS image sensor for better image quality. and the device is packed by a 3000mAh battery.

Initially, this device was launched as QIKU in the Chinese market, where it has a fingerprint sensor on the back, which can be unlocked under 0.5 seconds, says the company.

The company also said it will partner with Videocon to manufacture smartphones in the country and will roll out almost half a million devices from its facility in Maharashtra.

Breaking a price barrier, Coolpad Note 3 is the first phone in the price bracket to offer 3GB RAM and a fingerprint scanner. Coolpad also announced that they will be investing over $300 million in India on Manufacturing, R&D and ID design of its smartphones.
