Coolpad Note 3 Launched in India; Rs. 8999 For High-End Specs
Last year’s Swipe Sense Android KitKat smartphone launched for Rs 9,999 was the only smartphone under Rs 10,000 to come equipped with a fingerprint scanner. Today the company has launched a new smartphone called ‘Coolpad Note 3’ India at just Rs.8,999. Coolpad Note 3 will be available in India from October 20, 2015 onwards exclusively on India’s largest online marketplace Amazon.in. The smartphone boasts of a 13-megapixel rear autofocus camera bundled with features such as LED flash, f/2.0 aperture, 5 Element HD Lens. Chinese smartphone manufacturer Coolpad has added one more smartphone to its porfolio. This is paired with 2GB of RAM and the Dazen Note 3 comes with 16GB of on-board storage. Both front and rear camera have CMOS image sensor for enhanced image quality.
Its connectivity options include 2G, 3G, 4G/ LTE, GPRS/EDGE, Wi-Fi, GPS/AGPS, WLAN, Bluetooth 4.0, and micro USB. It runs on Android 5.1.1 Lollipop operating system and has a customised interface, Cool UI 6.0.
The device is backed by a 3000mAh battery. The device will be available in two colour variants – white and black.
The company, while stating that it would invest over $300 million for manufacturing, research and development, and ID design purposes in India, announced its partnership with Videocon for the manufacturing its devices.
The Coolpad Note 3 comes with a few extra features like compass, gravity, proximity, ambient light, gyroscope sensors and fingerprint sensor, It is said to support 360-degree finger rotation and offer speedy recognition in 0.5 seconds.
Dazen wiil continue to sell its smartphones in India under the same brand name. The first “Made in India” Coolpad phone is expected to be rolled out in Q1 of 2016.
