Cops: Couple who last saw toddler found dismembered not cooperating
Without Harris’ and Foggs’ help, “Taking the next step is going to be very hard…” The 2-year-old boy’s dismembered body was found in the Garfield Park Lagoon in early September. One of them a Milwaukee resident and the other a Chicago resident, but they said the two are not cooperating.
“Its unfathomable to me that when we’re talking about a tender-aged child, that we find body parts of, and you won’t cooperate on a case like that?” In September, a park visitor found the head, hands and feet of a toddler in a lagoon on Chicago’s west side. Police want friends and family to urge them to do the right thing and tell police what they know. Kyrian Knox was not reported missing until September 17. Based on the missing person report, Chicago police went to Rockford to collect DNA from Kyrian’s mother, which matched the remains found in the lagoon.
Neither Harris or Foggs are considered suspects, but police say they may be unwilling to “snitch” on someone else.
“We’ve tried numerous times to contact them”.
Police say that Kamel Harris and Danyelle Foggs were the last to see the boy alive, but have been uncooperative, with detectives unable to even contact them.
Harris gave a statement to Rockford Police saying he gave Kyrian Knox over to three people in Rockford after they convinced him they knew Kyrian’s mother, Lanisha Knox. We know where they are…
While it is believed Harris may be in Milwaukee, Foggs is believed to be in Chicago. They’re just not cooperating. “It’s extremely frustrating”, said Chicago Police. She is no longer in a relationship with Harris, who she said was “totally responsible” for Knox, she told the Register Star.
