Cops: Man kills friend whom he throught was becoming a zombi

A New Mexico man was in custody on Monday after he allegedly beat and killed his roommate to stop him from becoming a zombie.

Officers then entered the apartment and found the body of Christopher Paquin, Perry’s 23-year-old friend.

Officers were called to an apartment there last Thursday afternoon after receiving reports that an intoxicated, knife-wielding man was chasing a woman, the police department said.

Perry was taken to police headquarters and interviewed, KOB reported. Perry told detectives that the two had been drinking, after which Perry says he thought Paquin had begun to turn into a zombie and try to bite him.

The scene apparently played out like a scene from The Walking Dead because police say that Perry beat his friend to death with not only his hands and feet, but also an electric guitar and microwave!

A local newspaper, the Cibola Beacon, quoted police as saying that Perry admitted that he and the victim were drinking a “large amount of alcohol”.

Perry is charged with murder, the station reported.

Perry’s attorney, Michael E. Calligan, did not immediately return a call for comment.
