Cops: Rosie O’Donnell’s missing daughter was ‘of sound mind’
“He’s 25, a heroin dealer who lives with his mother”, while her official rep found-hiding-in-mans-attic-with-dog”>said, “Rosie is relieved to have Chelsea back safely but is obviously very concerned about her well-being”.
MailOnline reported that Sheerer, who it says has been convicted of drug offences, first told police officers that Chelsea was not at his home.
The police department received a call Tuesday from Rockland County Sheriff’s Department in New York with a tip to investigate homes on Sheerer’s street; a cell phone signal placed Chelsea in the referenced vicinity. After he denied Chelsea was at the residence, cops insisted they weren’t going to leave without her, at which point the teenager was found with her therapy dog, Bear, hiding in the attic.
The comedian appears to be concerned about her daughter’s safety, tweeting that “he is a creep” and needs to stay away from her daughter, who is still a minor.
According to the New York Daily News, Deanna Micoley told the tabloid she was on drugs and her then-husband persuaded to give up two-month-old Chelsea – then named Kayla – for adoption in 1997.
Chelsea O’Donnell was found at Sheerer’s Village Drive home in Barnegat Tuesday evening.
Lt. Keith Germain said that at 6 p.m. August. 18, police in the girl’s hometown of South Nyack, N.Y., had contacted Barnegat believing that she might be staying there.
“We’re just glad that she was found to be safe”, Germain said. It was written on her face that she didn’t want to go.
Law enforcement found Chelsea in Barnegat, at the house of a male she was “recently acquainted with”.
Chelsea is O’Donnell’s eldest child from her marriage to Kelli Carpenter. She said they’d communicated via texts and Facebook messages.
O’Donnell’s 17-year-old daughter met Steve Sheerer on Tinder, the famous dating app where users are asked to “swipe right” if they see someone they like.
