Coronation Street: Rob Donovan returning to cause havoc on the cobbles

Actor Marc Baylis has revealed that his killer character Rob Donovan is going to be returning to the long-running series – and he will be making his presence known.

Rob – who is now in prison for the murder of Tina McIntyre – will start pulling the puppet strings and calling the shots, as he sends out a number of visiting orders to some of our favourite Weatherfield residents.

Oh and that was during his wedding day to Tracy Barlow.

Marc will be seen back on screen as Rob later on this year.

“One thing is for certain – prison won’t stop Rob from affecting lives on the street”.

Rob’s reappearance spells trouble and it soon becomes clear that he holds the key a huge Connor family secret, one that he could use to his advantage.

Tracy is now with Robert (Picture: ITV)Alison King is to take an extended break from her role as Carla later this year and it remains to be seen whether Rob getting back in touch is connected with her departure.

This new storyline will kick in after viewers have been introduced to a new member of the Connor family, Aidan, played by former X Factor victor Shayne Ward.
