Coronation Street’s Georgia May Foote for Strictly Come Dancing 2015
Woburn Abbey will showcase the largest display of dresses worn by the celebrities and professional dancers from the 2014 cast of BBC’s “Strictly Come Dancing”. Said Georgia.
“I’ve known since April”. The first is that as I will be turning 40 next year, I think it is the flawless time for a new, exciting challenge.
When asked by presenters Bill Turnbull and Sally Nugent if she knew any “insider information” she said: “I literally don’t”.
Manchester-born Georgia has been appearing on British television since 2004. She has scored roles in a number of well-known British television shows such as “Life on Mars“, “Doctors“, “Casualty“, “Heartbeat“, “Emmerdale” and “This Is England 86”.
She said that all of the celebrities have been given codenames from Disney films to keep their identities a secret – and hers was Rapunzel from Tangled.
She revealed to the breakfast show presenters that she hasn’t been able to get the advice of former Corrie stars who’ve taken part in Strictly, such as Jimmy Mistry, because it’s all been so hush hush.
EastEnders star Kellie Bright was the first female contestant to be named for the new series, after Ainsley Harriot and Jeremy Vine were announced earlier this week.
The 24-year-old actress will Foxtrot and Cha-Cha her way into the ballroom when the BBC show returns later this year.
Other names rumoured to be joining the show include former X Factor presenter Dermot O’Leary and singer Peter Andre – who is the current favourite to win despite no word of his involvement.
