Coroner Identifies Victims in Thurston County Shooting
Gerald M. Berkey, 36, of Elma, Grays Harbor County; Jackson L Edens, 28, of Olympia; and Terron McGrath, 31, of Olympia.
The Thurston County coroner has identified the three people who were found dead Wednesday after a shooting near Lacey.
“We don’t know if this was a drug deal but drugs were present”, Pearsall said.
Pearsal said Thursday the Sheriff’s Office doesn’t have a suspect, and they also have not found the weapon used. As of Wednesday, he was in stable condition and undergoing surgery.
Two men and one woman were fatally shot in a trailer in Washington state.
Police have not yet ruled the quadruple shooting, which also left one man wounded, to be drug-related, but Pearsall said “this is a known area for some narcotics being sold”.
The caller couldn’t give an exact location where he was, but deputies eventually tracked him down to the 500 block of Dutterow Road, where they found the man on the ground with a gunshot wound to his stomach.
Another man who was shot and survived is 30 and from Olympia.
Thurston County authorities say they have no suspects and no idea why four people were shot near Olympia. That man, whose name was not available, called 911 about 5:15 a.m. and told dispatchers he had been shot and his friends were dead, according to Pearsall.
Chief Deputy Dave Pearsall of the Thurston County sheriff’s office says two men and a woman were found dead in a travel trailer behind a residence near Lacey. The survivor called 911 to report his friends were dead on Wednesday morning. Investigators work outside of a travel trailer where multiple bodies were found Wednesday, June 22, 2016, in Lacey, Wash.
