Cosby’s wife to continue deposition in March
Cammarata, who sued Bill Clinton in the 1990s in the Paula Jones sexual harassment case, believes Camille Cosby in a unique position to know something about the accusations from five-dozen women who say Bill Cosby drugged and/or raped them in episodes dating back to the 1960s, and he’s determined to pry it out of her.
Seven women brought a defamation lawsuit against her husband, to whom she’s been married for more than 50 years.
During her last joint interview with Bill in 2014, Camille remained silent when the Associated Press asked about the sexual assault allegations brought against her husband, as Bill interrupted, saying, “No, no, we don’t answer that”.
Cosby, 78, who has denied all the allegations against him, was not present at the deposition.
Camille talked to the women’s lawyers for about two and a half hours. The plaintiffs all accuse Bill Cosby of sexually assaulting them.

Bill Cosby’s spokesman, Andrew Wyatt, told the Herald on his behalf, “No comment will be made” about his wife’s deposition.
Cosby, best known for his stand-up comedy and his starring role on NBC’s “The Cosby Show”, was formally indicted past year in a criminal case surrounding the alleged sexual assault of a woman in 2005.

“We’re hoping to learn about issues important to the case involving his relationship with her and his relationship with other women and his relationship with the business”, Cammarata said.
But he was not allowed to question her about anything that could fall under the MA law protecting husband-and-wife intimate conversations. This came after her last-minute bid to delay the deposition has been denied. Written transcripts of depositions are generally sealed from public view because they are considered discovery materials shared between lawyers on both sides. One case has resulted in criminal charges against him.
Cammarata said the opposing trial teams dialed up U.S. District Court Judge Mark G. Mastroianni twice during the marathon proceeding for guidance on smoothing over legal disputes.
Camille, 71, was casually dressed in slip-on sneakers, an oversized olive green coat and rose-tinted sunglasses as she entered the Springfield Marriott through the parking garage to avoid the media.
Lawyers for the Cosbys attempted to quash the deposition subpoena, arguing that Camille Cosby does not have any relevant information. Cosby unsuccessfully appealed to dismiss those charges, as well.
