Could Jurgen Klopp’s LFC win the Premier League this season?
“You look at the quality of the whole bench, look at the players we have injured, you are going to need that with the amount of games we have coming up”.
Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has stressed that he will play his strongest team in Wednesday’s League Cup encounter with Southampton as he feels they lack the depth to rest key players.
They’re pretty hot on this game, they’ve lost their last two games and they want to bounce back. “The league table changes a lot over that period, and hopefully it changes for the better and we keep moving up, working hard and improving”.
In a season where no team has impressed on a consistent basis in the Premier League, Dunphy feels that Liverpool could take charge of things.
“But of course we need to get points and we need to get points as quickly as possible”.
The Portuguese defender required stitches following an injury picked up in the Premier League defeat by Manchester City at the weekend. “If we want to go to the semi-final we have to fight for it and that’s what we’ll try to do”.
“We got back to how we wanted to play and how we have been playing so we’re happy with that”, said the Wales worldwide.
“Hopefully we can keep this form going through Christmas and keep racking the wins up and if we can do that, I think we will be in a good place”.
The return of Daniel Sturridge and captain Jordan Henderson were a welcome sight for Liverpool manager Juergen Klopp even if his team were far less easy on the eye in a laboured 1-0 win over Swansea City on Sunday. “It’s good news and they did their job”, Klopp told Liverpool’s website.
A solid afternoon at the office was capped off by the welcome sight of Henderson and Sturridge taking to the pitch for the first time under Klopp’s management. Ronald Koeman will be another one thinking why can’t we have a go at winning this?
“We were deserved winners. They will play a good role over the remainder of the season, I’m sure”.
“I know results are the be all and end all and we have to get results on board and it is my responsibility – but that didn’t look like a team in trouble”. I would say Fabregas’ performances for a long time now- for most of this year in fact- have been poor.
