Country singer Craig Strickland found dead with friend
However Oklahoma Highway Patrol officials confirmed they found Strickland’s body in Bear Creek Cove this morning.
Strickland was the lead singer for local country band Backroad Anthem, based in Alma, Arkansas, as well as a acoustic guitarist.
Craig Strickland’s body was found in the original search area of Kaw Lake in Oklahoma. A search party began looking for them that night, and Morland’s body was found the following day.
Everyone please say special prayers for the family of Chase Morland. “Craig was the most incredible person whose passion for life could not be matched”, the guys, Toby Freeman, Eric Dysart, Josh Bryant, Brandon Robold and Isaac Senty, wrote. The sad news came after a week-long search effort around Oklahoma’s Kaw Lake, following the discovery of his friend and hunting partner Chase Morland’s body on December 28. “Today we lost our brother, our best friend, our bandmate”.
Craig Strickland was found dead Monday, eight days after being reported missing. He will dependably arrive to guide us along the way.
For now, fans and loved ones are left to mourn the singer, who shot to fame on the country music charts as a member of Backroad Anthem. Strickland went missing last month while on a duck hunting trip in Oklahoma. The friends’ boat had apparently overturned, and Strickland’s dog was found alive.
Strickland’s wife, Helen, posted after the musician’s body was discovered, saying that he died of hypothermia.
Severe flooding in the region has been blamed for more than 30 deaths.
“Thank you Lord for leading us to him today. Our hearts go out to Mr. Strickland’s family and friends”.
