Country star Carrie Underwood headed back to Billings in May
Quite the opposite, considering the first single from her new album is called Smoke Break and features lyrics “sometimes I wanna light it up/ Yeah, when things get tough/Sometimes I need a smoke break”.
“Idol was probably the most horrifying thing because I had never been away from my hometown like that before”, she said in an interview with Parade magazine.
And guess what? The new mama will have a road buddy! Special guests include Easton Corbin and The Swon Brothers.
The Underwood show, at The Q on May 18, is likely just the beginning of several popular country shows that will come to The Q and Blossom Music Center this year. When he’s smiling at you, that makes it not so bad.
Even though she says that she would like to keep touring for that long, she adds that it is important for her and for all artists to pace their selves.
Budweiser Gardens announced Tuesday morning that Carrie Underwood will play at the arena on May 30, 2016. “So when he has a game the next day-hockey game for those who don’t know-I’ll make sure and be like, ‘OK, he needs to sleep tonight, his game tomorrow.’ So I’m the one getting up”.
