Country sweethearts Blake Shelton and Miranda Lambert divorce after 4 years or

In a disheartening admission, Miranda’s mama, Beverly June Hughes, confessed that she knew nothing of her divorce from Blake until they announced it to the public. Shelton will get the ranch in Oklahoma while Lambert will get the home in Nashville. Lambert, 31, started crying while singing “The House That Built Me” making it hard to end her song in front of 19,000 people.

The couple then issued a statement.

“We’re a really normal couple”, Lambert told The Associated Press in 2010. We excist people in general, by using true future, with the use of excellent family members, buddies and co-workers. No reason for the split was provided.

Shelton addressed rumors about their marriage in a 2014 interview with TODAY’s Carson Daly. She went radio silent on Blake the next month. Though Shelton was still married at the time, he later admitted to instantly falling in love with Lambert.

“Like I always say, my mom said to my dad, ‘Divorce is not an option, ‘” she said.

There were also rumors of infidelities. Shelton was reportedly keen on having children, unlike Lambert. In an exclusive report by TMZ, it was confirmed that the final touches of the couple’s divorce have been settled mere hours after the duo announced their decision to split on Monday. As it turned out they barely made it four years.

Lambert and Shelton even won song of the year honors from the Academy of Country Music and the Country Music Association for Lambert’s 2011 hit Over You, which was written about Shelton’s late brother. The performance, which Shelton has admitted was the moment he fell for the Grammy-winning vocalist, helped launch one of modern country’s most scrutinized romances, and Shelton would propose five years later.

It was one of the biggest factors that caused them to drift apart.
