Cowboys fans troll Eagles with banner over Linc
That prompted an Eagles fan to start a GoFundMe to pay for a “WE’VE GOT DEMARCO” sky banner over the Cowboys’ practice in Oxnard on Sunday.
A familiar chant went up from the over 40,000 Eagles fans in attendance at the free practice: “Dallas sucks!”
Despite reports in national media outlets that a banner-carrying plane hired by Philadelphia Eagles fans to taunt the Dallas Cowboys crashed at Compton Airport, killing the pilot, the Los Angeles Times and other Southern California-based sources have confirmed that’s not the case. “The objective of the page was to raise money to fly a banner over the Philadelphia Eagles” training camp that read “We Got the Division”. Already this offseason, New England Patriots fans paid for a banner speaking out against NFL commissioner Roger Goodell in the wake of his decision to uphold quarterback Tom Brady’s four-game Deflategate suspension and New York Jets fans hired a plane to fly a “Cheaters” banner over Patriots training camp. That being stated, it led to a storm of followers tweeting concerning the stupidity of the stunt; that’s pretty ridiculous, when certainly corporations shill out cash for banner-flying planes on a regular basis with none such handwringing. The banner, financed by Cowboys defensive end Greg Hardy and fans, read, “WE STILL DEM BOYZ!!!!” Eagles offensive tackle Lane Johnson called the incident, “a waste of money”.
“You guys should hear it from me”. “I think he’s a hothead and gets carried away with himself”.
“Oh, yeah, that was interesting”, Eagles outside linebacker Connor Barwin said. Obviously, it doesn’t really mean anything at all. The roof of AT&T Stadium will prevent any planes from being noticed by the players during the game.
