Cowboys Lead Eagles After Ugly First Half, 6-0

The Dallas Cowboys will be without both Dez Bryant and Tony Romo for the next month after the latter broke his collarbone against the Philadelphia Eagles. Romo was driven into the ground by an opposing defender and landed abruptly on his left shoulder after losing a fumble. With his performance in his last 2 to 3 seasons, Tony Romo has erased all doubt about being an elite quarterback.

When Romo was out for the majority of the 2010 season, it wasn’t much of a favorable result for the ‘Boys, as a starting QB combo of Jon Kitna and Stephen McGee led the team to an underwhelming 6-10 record, tied for last in the division. This obviously includes two losses during the ’80 season when you take into account the NFC Championship Game played at Veteran’s Stadium that year. That said, the Cowboys were without Dez Bryant, and were missing Tony Romo for a good chunk of the game as well.

The Eagles lost to the Falcons in a close game after faltering a bit early and now the team will try and rebound against the Cowboys.

“We just have to be better in the run game point-blank”, Murray said.

San Francisco running back Carlos Hyde was taken out of a 43-18 loss at Pittsburgh because of a head injury, and 49ers coach Jim Tomsula said the rookie was cleared after an evaluation for a concussion.

Kevin Murray has been a Cowboys fan since childhood, but he’ll be pulling for the Eagles today when the teams meet in Philadelphia. Just a few times they made a couple more plays than we did.

Bradford threw another interception in the fourth quarter when the ball bounced off Zach Ertz’s hands and J.J. However, NFL Network reported the bone graft will keep Bryant out 10-12 weeks.

Romo is no stranger to injuries, especially the one he suffered on Sunday.
