Cowboys, Rams end practice early after fights break out
Lost among the numerous fights that broke out during the Cowboys and Rams co-practice yesterday was an event that was much more scary. Both units are regarded as among the best in the league.
“What I do think is (the Rams) have such a traditional visibility and a traditional following here in Southern California”, Jones said. “They won 12 games (in 2014)”. Washington continues to go after Ross, multiple cheap shots are thrown, and it gets so bad that the players get pushed up against fans watching from the bleachers, with players hitting the deck and dogpiling at the end of the video.
Both the Rams’ and Cowboys’ No. 1 defenses seemed to get the better of the action when going against the opposing No. 1 offenses.
“The Rams are the team that most of us as children grew up with. So it was a good matchup”.
The Cowboys do have the option to terminate the contract by written notice if the city fails to prepare the practice fields up to standard, “using the 2010 training camp field condition as the bench mark”. They had a scheduled players’ day off August 12. “For as much as we’re harping about avoiding it, hell, the network puts it on 11 times”. “I grew up here and went to school here”. After running a play, a shoving match started. If there were right answers we would address it and get it fixed. “So it was extremely valuable”.
The San Francisco 49ers and Dallas Cowboys each had players get into fights early this week as they prepare for their upcoming preseason matchup on Sunday. Rams coach also said a few words saying, “There is no excuse for it. You can’t blame it on anybody”.
This isn’t the first time that Dez was in a fight at training camp this summer and from the way things are going it might not be the last either. “So in some ways I have to be more prepared in these two days than others just otherwise it can just look really silly versus a team who wants to blitz a lot like the Rams do”.
Asked if he’ll think twice in the future about jumping in without a helmet, Patmon smirked and then said: “Man, we’re just out there”.
“There is no place from the stand point of being role models in this game and representing this game for kids. We are sorry about that”. “And I know Jason [Garrett, Cowboys head coach], would echo the same thing”. Boy, did they flare up on Tuesday in Oxnard, CA.
“It was live”, Rams tight end Jared Cook said. “I would love to come back and do it again”.
The Cowboys “shall have the exclusive use of the facilities” in Oxnard, according to the contract terms. “We’re here to play football”. “We’ve got a exhausted team”. “They’re great in St. Louis”.
“We’ll [practice at] 5:30 on Thursday”, Fisher said.
