Cowboys rookie Elliott dazzles with breakout TD run in win

LaFell’s two fourth-quarter touchdowns were his firsts of the season.

The 21-year-old former Ohio State star is the first Dallas rookie with three straight 100-yard games, a feat that eluded Hall of Famers Tony Dorsett and Emmitt Smith, the NFL’s all-time rushing leader. Hence the 4-1 record and what has fans starting to salivate at what could be. The Bengals will head to New England next week to face the New England Patriots.

“You watch that film from week one and you watch me now it looks like two different backs”, Elliott said after the game. How do you bench a QB who has thrown for 1,400+ yards and no interceptions?

“We let them off the hook”, Claiborne said.

The Bengals are at a crossroads. The Bengals (2-3) already have a losing record a year after being 8-0 midway through the season. The Giants held him to 2 1/2 yards per carry.

“I’m motivated from yesterday”, Dunlap said. Of course, we are going to lose some plays.

The Bengals made a surprising decision to start Giovani Bernard ahead of Jeremy Hill at running back, and Bernard ran well, albeit in a small sample size.

Jones said Romo “is definitely on schedule” and will have another MRI on Monday, with the expectation being it will show the quarterback’s compression fracture suffered on August 25 has fully healed.

The pass defense was better but not by much.
