Crespo to have Villa medical

Cordoba CF and Aston Villa FC have reached an agreement to transfer Jose Angel Crespo the English team. Who?

He made 27 appearances for Cordoba last season as they finished bottom of La Liga.

Ghana worldwide Ayew, 23, is expected to be announced today after Villa finalised a deal worth around £10m with French club Lorient while Spanish outfit Cordoba confirmed an agreement for full-back Crespo, 28.

A product of the Sevilla youth system, Spaniard Crespo has played for Racing Santander, Padova, Bologna and Verona during his career.

Crespo is now set to become Villa’s sixth signing of the summer, along with Scott Sinclair, Micah Richards, Mark Bunn, Idrissa Gueye and Jordan Amavi.

Speaking about Ayew, Wilkins told talkSPORT: “The medical hasn’t been been done up to now but we are just waiting upon that”.

Looks like we might have a new full-back.

“I can only talk for myself, but I’m hoping there is because when Adebayor wants to play he is extremely effective”.
