A cricket field in Bermuda turned into a boxing ring when two players from opposite teams, playing in a county match got into a brawl. “Date to be confirmed at the start of the 2016 season”, BCB added. Such was the ugliness of the incident that a player has been banned from any form of cricket activity in the country in the future.
Cleveland also issued an apology to the general public.
A fight ensued with O’Brien swinging his bat at Anderson before the pair wrestled each other to the ground.
The fans of game of cricket witnessed an ugly turn of events when in a local match in Bermuda; the batsman nearly knocked the head off the opposition wicket keeper’s shoulder with his bat.
The players and the umpires intervened to get things under control, after which Carlton Smith, Cleveland President, asked Anderson to leave the field.
The incident has caused a storm in the West Indies.
Cleveland captain Allan Douglas was unsure what had sparked the wild brawl after the match.
“Once I noticed these two going at it, that’s when I determined to leap into the center and attempt to break it up; me and Aaron Adams”.
“He can’t seem to remember most of the match”, Douglas said. We view these matters seriously and as a community club this is not the type of behaviour that we expect from members of the club, nor the example that we would like to set for our junior players.
