Criss Angel cancels shows due to family crisis
Angel is flying to Australia to be with his son, Jonathan Crisstopher Sarantakos, who is almost 2-years-old and was recently diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukemia earlier this week, according to Page Six. Upon finding out his son’s scary diagnosis, Criss cancelled his Cirque du Soleil show “Believe” at the Luxor hotel from October. 24 through November. 1, according to the Las Vegas Sunday.
Angel did not share any other details about his son’s condition, but he did post a picture of him on social media. Reports reveal that Criss Angel had never missed a show in more than 3,000 performances.Criss Angel is the most watched magician in Internet history since the late 2000s. Sadly though, Angel has had to cancel all his upcoming shows because of a family emergency.
Criss Angel, 47, is trying to be the best father he can be during such a hard time.
The 47-year-old magician never confirmed that he had a child let alone that he married the boy’s Australian mother. “Thank you xc”, he wrote.
Although he didn’t confirm the news about his son, the magician Tweeted a photo of himself holding the toddler, along with the caption “Thank you for all your thoughts and prayers”. The BELIEVE Charitable Foundation was created in honor of Criss’ father who passed away in 1998 and is meant to help children who are suffering from debilitating or life-limiting illnesses as well as their families.
