Cristiano Ronaldo admits ‘personal problems’ are affecting his form amid ‘gay
Cristiano Ronaldo became the first player to score 10 goals or more in the group stage of the Champions League, claiming four on Tuesday as Real Madrid routed Malmo 8-0.
“I am very happy, it was a good game for the team”, Ronaldo told Spanish TV station Mega. “But that is not 100% guaranteed”.
He said: “It is speculation, it happens every year”.
Madrid secured the biggest margin of victory in the Champions League since Liverpool defeated Besiktas also by 8-0 in 2007.
Portugal and Real Madrid star Cristiano Ronaldo is still missing his former coach Carlo Ancelotti whose first season with the Los Blocos remains one of the most successful season in Real Madrid’s history.
“We aren’t aliens, I’m not, and I go through hard moments as well”, he explained, before looking ahead with optimism, and saying he felt “better all the time”. If I were 75 percent certain, I would say so, it wouldn’t be a problem. “But I have no idea”.
“It’s normal. That’s why I’m not anxious, because I know that everything has a beginning and everything has an end”.
Real Madrid star Cristiano Ronaldo compares La Liga to the Premier League, talks about expectations and managerial shifts. “But this club has helped me greatly since I’ve arrived and I’m very happy here”.
“It is my seventh season at Madrid and I am used to it. I know how things are going here”, he added.
Ronaldo, whose present deal with Real Madrid runs until 2018, has scored 21 goals in 20 appearances in all competitions this season.
His next contract could be his last in football – as such, Ronaldo has kept his options open when speaking to the press while simultaneously reinforcing his commitment to Real Madrid through his agent. We played against second-division teams in Sweden and then we came to Madrid.
Ronaldo also quashed rampant rumours suggesting he and Real Madrid coach Rafa Benitez had been feuding.
“I feel good with [Benitez]”. I think he is doing things the right way. “We have a good team and good players who are ready and motivated”. “But in a few years I don’t know how I’m going to be thinking”.
