Cristiano Ronaldo: Barcelona move unlikely
A quick word in Laurent Blanc’s ear after Real Madrid‘s meeting with Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League was enough to set the rumour mill into overdrive and it hasn’t slowed down since with Ronaldo the one contributing on a regular basis.
“It’s a little more hard, but…”, he said.
Real Madrid’s Cristiano Ronaldo has refiused to rule out a move to any other club, even Barcelona or an English side other than Manchester United.
‘But that’s not 100 per cent guaranteed.
Real Madrid star Cristiano Ronaldo has said that he misses Carlo Ancelotti and would love to play under the Italian again during his career.
Cristiano Ronaldo’s future may not lie at Real Madrid and the three-time Ballon d’Or victor is keeping all his options open.
“I respond well to the people who do the same with me”, he said in justifying his friendly greetings with the two team officials after a November 3 Champions League match, also at Real Madrid’s stadium.
“I am very happy, it was a good game for the team, all the players, not just those up front”. That obviously does not mean I am going there.
“You have to take into account that I have had some personal problems”. But I have no idea.
“I don’t know what has happened”.
Ronaldo, however, declined to add any detail, claiming “they stay with me”. “In the beginning, I though he was more a tough person, more kind of arrogant, and it was the opposite. I have a contract for two more years and I’m staying here”.
“He is still adapting to Real Madrid and needs to be given time”.
Meanwhile, Ronaldo offered Benitez his support after the Real Madrid coach was whistled by the fans during the Matchday 6 win over hapless Malmo. “It’s part of my job”, he continued.
Madrid has won five straight games since the humiliating home loss to Barcelona.
“What happened with Blanc was that he had spoken very well about me before and I only thanked him for his declarations and I told him that I had liked them a lot”. But I’m hopeful and I think that Portugal has a good chance. “I’m happy with my season so far”. I have confidence in myself and I feel the president, my teammates and my family have confidence in me.
