Six persons, including three CRPF personals, were injured in a grenade attack on Friday by militants on Srinagar-Jammu national highway in south Kashmir’s Pulwama district.
The injured were shifted to hospital.
Three civilians and 2 CRPF personnel were injured after a few unidentified men lobbed a grenade on security forces near the Punjab National Bank branch in Pampore. “The area has been surrounded and the exact cause of the explosion is being ascertained”.
CRPF on Friday claimed to have averted retaliation to a militant attack targeting its troops deployed for regular duty on Srinagar-Jammu Highway.
The eye-witnesses said, “there is a panic in the area”, forcing many people to stay indoors. Business activities were disrupted in the town due to the blast.
