Cruz campaign aide: Trump running ‘the Seinfeld candidacy’
The constitutional requirement has been debated by some scholars, but Cruz, who is a constitutional lawyer and the former Texas solicitor general, maintains he is eligible to be president.
If Trump will drop the foul language, he’s clearly not planning to drop his trademark bluntness.
Trump also had called Cruz’s honesty into question in a tweet Thursday night.

“If @TedCruz doesn’t clean up his act, stop cheating, & doing negative ads, I have standing to sue him for not being a natural born citizen”, Trump tweeted Friday afternoon.
During his campaign to become the Republican nominee for the November presidential election, Senator Cruz has made many overtures to evangelical voters. The 25th Amendment establishes the two-term limit.
Yet even as he boasts of his campaign’s strength in the South, Cruz’s allies supporters are trying to keep expectations in check, continuing to wave off suggestions that any one state – or group of states – is must-win for the senator. At two points that month, Trump brought up Cruz’s Cuban ancestry to also take a roundabout jab at his faith.
“Mr. Cruz was born in Canada, and obviously Canada is not a territory or protectorate of the United States, it’s not dominion of the United States”, said the group’s attorney, Thomas Drake. Nevertheless, it seems Trump remains a serious contender for the GOP nomination, with actual votes to match his polls.
Harvard Law professor Einer R. Elhauge wrote in a January op-ed that Cruz is ineligible to run, based on a straight reading of the Constitution, but said a fixed rule should be implemented to clarify.
Trump has said doesn’t favor same-sex marriage and would consider appointing to the U.S. Supreme Court justices who would overturn the ruling in favor of marriage equality.
“When he stands for something he’s like a pit bull”, one voter said. “‘So maybe I’m not in love with him as much as I was prior to hearing the commercial, ‘ Trump told MSNBC’s Morning Joe”.
