Cruz touts support for arming service members in Tennessee
FBI Director James Comey earlier this month announced that the July 16 shootings by Muhammad Abdulazeez, a naturalized US citizen, had been “inspired and motivated by foreign terrorist propaganda”.
Republican presidential hopeful Ted Cruz stopped by Oklahoma City Community College on Wednesday to drum up support for his primary campaign. He said that would keep many from seeing the Democratic candidates, and said he could understand the strategy.
That determination led to a decision by the Navy to award the Purple Heart to the five slain servicemen and another Marine who was injured there. The Texas senator made his 1st stop Tues.in Knoxville, where supporters offered a cake & sang to him in honor of his 45th birthday.
The event is part of his “Take-Off With Ted Cruz Country Christmas Tour”, which features 12 rallies in 12 cities in only one week’s time.
Cruz previously visited Oklahoma City and Tulsa in August. “We’re gun owners who love God”. So it seems the latest Quinnipiac poll is pretty accurate even in states like Oklahoma, where voters want to see more out of the two candidates before locking in their votes in Oklahoma’s March presidential primary.
