Cruz: Trump ‘could be unstoppable’ if he wins Iowa
Iowa Gov. Terry Branstad also recently urged local voters to steer clear of Cruz because of his opposition to ethanol and Trump also gained the endorsement of national Tea Party darling Sarah Palin.
“If Donald wins Iowa he right now has a substantial lead in New Hampshire”.
Cruz was born in Canada to an American mother. Both are polling in the low single digits and have little money in the bank. “I think they didn’t know at all at the beginning… it took a while”. I believe we have a path to victory.
“The robust condemnations Mr. Trump has received from media and political elites have only intensified the enthusiasm of his supporters, many of whom feel disdained and forgotten by the very same people who regularly mock and chide their man for his boorishness”.
More than a third of the Republican poll respondents who say they will caucus this year have never caucused before. “Do not listen to our words, look to our actions”, he said.
It’s just one of several lines of attack that Trump has deployed against Cruz as they enter the final stretch as the top two candidates in the February 1 Iowa caucus.
As a candidate, the thrice-married New Yorker has worked to foster relationships with Christian leaders.
Cruz told the pastors that the stage of the race is such that it is up to them to decide its outcome here, and that they should make it their “personal mission” to motivate congregants, friends and others to caucus.
“Hey I lived in New York City and Manhattan all my life, so my views are a little bit different than if I lived in Iowa”, Trump said on the “Meet the Press” interview, a quote spliced into the Cruz campaign ad.
Beck also said that while he could understand the anger galvanizing primary voters in 2016, Trump’s remark was a concerning sentiment and the role of the Constitution is to “temper” the mood of the nation.
“I was the best thing that happened to Bernie”, Trump said of Sanders, whom Trump said he would love to face in the general election.
