Cruz: Trump could bomb Denmark
Donald Trump admitted that his choice to skip the Fox News-hosted GOP debate could have contributed to his second-place finish in the Iowa caucuses Monday night.
Now he wants to take Ted Cruz’s marbles, too … or more to the point, take away Cruz’s Iowa victory. Carson accused Cruz of “dirty tricks” the day after the caucuses, and Cruz later apologized to Carson for it. The normally mild-mannered retired neurosurgeon said that “whoever is responsible for blatant lying should be dismissed”.
In another tweet, Trump said Cruz had lied about his opinion of President Barack Obama’s healthcare program, Reuters reported.
“State law notwithstanding, in 2020 the political parties and candidates would have a stronger case than ever before for telling New Hampshire primary voters, ‘You’re fired!'”
At a rally in Exeter, New Hampshire, Mr Trump continued his anti-establishment rants with a more ferocious attack on the Republicans running against him.
His withdrawal leaves 10 Republican candidates in the 2016 White House race. “You know, I don’t think any time in politics when you lose and you ask for a do-over that that’s something that gives people a lot of confidence in your leadership ability”, Christie said. According to Cruz, the campaign staff had seen a CNN report that appeared to say that Carson was dropping out and simply passed the message around. The mogul took further offense at an alleged statement by Cruz that fellow Republican contender Ben Carson was quitting the race, slamming the far-right senator for “lying” about Carson and Trump’s policies.
Democratic hopeful Hillary Clinton, who attended Mr Trump’s most recent wedding in 2005, has distanced herself from the Donald in an interview with People.
Cruz fired back at Trump calling his request for nullification a “tantrum”.
The two Republican presidential candidates have been engaged in a heated exchange on Twitter following the Monday night Iowa Caucus results that claimed Cruz the victor over Trump, with the Texas senator earning 27.6 percent of the votes and Trump earning 24.3 percent.
Trump also said Cruz told voters that Trump supported Obamacare – the ultimate sin among Republican voters – which Trump called “a total lie!”
