Cuadrado thrilled with Juventus fans’ welcome
Juventus appear to be moving closer to the expected signing of Chelsea’s Juan Cuadrado after releasing pictures of the winger being welcomed in Italy.
Chelsea forward Juan Cuadrado (L) is poised to join Juventus on a season loan.
The arrival of Pedro from Barcelona looks to have pushed him further down the pecking order, with manager Jose Mourinho already offloading a number of players.
He moved to Stamford Bridge from Fiorentina in February, but made a limited impact as the Blues won the Capital One Cup and Premier League title.
“We all know that Juve is a great club, among the best teams in Europe”.
As we heard earlier, Cuadrado’s due to take his medical tomorrow, which should promptly be followed some paperwork and an official announcement. Cuadrado will be competing for playing time with current midfielders Simone Padoin, Roberto Pereyra and Paul Pogba, all starters in Sunday’s loss to a weaker Udinese side.
However, things have never quite worked out for Cuadrado, with his 13 appearances – of which, only four have been starts – failing to reap a single goal.
“I want to prepare well for every game and then the coach will decide”.
Also, it was confirmed that the deal would be a loan and not a permanent one, for the winger who moved to Stamford Bridge in January.
He is correct in pointing out how odd it is that a player who was just purchase for £25m is now worth just £1.5m in a loan deal but that is the weird world of club football.
