Curry hits winning 3, sets record as Warriors beat Thunder
At one point in the second half with an ankle injury, Curry left the game but he came back soon after.
In a game that felt more like a Western Conference Finals matchup, the Golden State Warriors beat the Oklahoma City Thunder when Stephen Curry drained a 38-foot three-pointer with less than one second to go. Then Golden State’s Thompson drove hard and scored on a three-point play to tie the score 118-118 with 29 seconds left.
Perhaps even more impressive than Curry’s single-game accomplishment is what he has done from long range within the wider scope of the season.
In the first matchup against the Warriors this season, Kevin Durant scored 40 points on 12-of-25 shooting.
Andre Iguodala hit two free throws with seven tenths of a second left in regulation to send the game to an extra period after entering the game a 61 percent free-throw shooter. Besides breaking his own record for three-pointers in a season, Curry’s shot clinched the Warriors a playoff spot.
After OKC star Kevin Durant fouled out in the first minute of OT, the Warriors outscored the Thunder 16-10 to close it out.
Oklahoma City also scored the first five points in overtime.
Curry tied an National Basketball Association record shared by Kobe Bryant (2003) and Donyell Marshall (2005) with his 12th 3-pointer of the game.
According to Elias, Green became the first player in National Basketball Association history with 14 rebounds and 14 assists in a game without making a basket.
But the Warriors always get over this stuff… and for a recent example of this I would point to Green going for 14 rebounds, 14 assists, 6 steals, 4 blocks in this game… with only two points, both on free throws.
MILWAUKEE – A 26-point effort from Khris Middleton wasn’t enough for Milwaukee, who fell to Detroit.

Curry and Thompson combined for 78 points, their highest-combined total for the season.
It’s truly absurd. I believe that the Warriors are beatable, but that might just be because I want so badly to believe that, or it might just be that they win in such a tricky, improbable way that I’m still fooled. You have me messed up right now.
“When you hear, honestly, legends… kind of come at you, it’s kind of just weird”, he said. If last night was the only National Basketball Association game you’ve watched this entire season, just do yourself a favor and never watch the National Basketball Association ever again because you will never see a better a game than that.
Warriors coach Steve Kerr said of Green after the game, “Part of what makes him special is his emotion and passion, so nothing major happened”.
Meanwhile, the San Antonio Spurs have joined the Warriors as the league’s only 50-win teams.
Stephen Curry and the Golden State Warriors had plenty of reasons to celebrate Saturday.
