Curry named NBA’s West Player of the Month
“CHARLOTTE, N.C. “ Stephen Curry came toward the sideline and motioned for fans in his hometown to get louder.
Before that third quarter, there wasn’t much notable happening. The reigning MVP was a flawless 8-of-8 from the field, including 5-of-5 from beyond the arc.
Earlier in the week, interim coach Luke Walton was named the NBA’s coach of the month as the Warriors remained the league’s only unbeaten team. The Warriors have now won 24 straight regular-season games dating back to last season. He was quick to give credit to his teammates though. Klay Thompson had scored 18 points in the first half, and the Warriors had gotten away with playing a frontline of James Michael McAdoo and Marreese Speights for awhile. Forward Draymond Green and centre Andrew Bogut had 11 rebounds each. “We kind of fed off that in the beginning”.
Guard Nicolas Batum led the way with 17 points. “We can argue all we want about who should get the wins, but really, it’s the players who are doing all of the work”.
So until Curry finishes his college courses, one of the NBA’s most recognizable players won’t have his university jersey retired. I was able to make some good shots.
“The Hornets never truly threatened the Warriors” streak.
The Warriors are still undefeated this season after a huge third quarter by Stephen Curry. Curry waved his arms to urge on the crowd.
“It was special”, he said of the ceremony. Big man Al Jefferson did not play due to left calf strain and will be out for at least two weeks. He scored a season-high 53 points on October 31 against the New Orleans Pelicans. George finished with over 30 points six times in November. He also averages 9.2 points and 10.9 rebounds. The Hawks shot just 36.7% from the field. The Hornets were held to 37.2 percent shooting.
It was the best he could do to ruin his dad’s night. Dell Curry was honored by the Hornets for his contributions over the years.
Charlotte Hornets television analyst Dell Curry is often called the “original Hornet” because he was the first player selected in the 1988 expansion draft. Curry is averaging 31.6 points, 6.0 assists, 5.2 rebounds, 2.5 steals all in 34.4 minutes per game. Additionally, Curry leads the league in three-pointers, as he’s already racked up a whopping 94 this season, 40 more than the next closest player, Damian Lillard.
