Curry ties record for threes in a game with 12
The chef helped the Golden State Warriors cook up a win against the Oklahoma City Thunder in overtime.
On top of it all, Curry left the game in the second half to get his ankle evaluated in the locker room. Whenever the two have met up in the NBA, Russ likes to go at him and generally has a lot of success. The Warriors trailed by four points with 14 seconds left in regulation after a three-pointer by Durant, who had 37 points and 12 rebounds. The Warriors won 121-118.
Curry finished the game with 46 points.
Magic Johnson also tweeted, saying, “If @StephenCurry30’s game winning 3-pointer doesn’t prove he’s the greatest shooter we’ve seen, I don’t know what will!”
And hours before Saturday’s surprise victory, the Warriors became the first team since the 1987-88 Los Angeles Lakers to score a playoff spot in February thanks to their 58-game National Basketball Association record.
The Hawks have by far the NBA’s best defensive rating (95.8 points per 100 possessions) over the last 20 games, but they’re just 10-10.

Curry remained seated on the floor and immediately signaled for his teammates to foul so he could leave the game and get medical attention. But Curry was almost as unstoppable early in the year when Golden State was defending an undefeated record. But the Warriors selected Curry at No. 7, immediately after Minnesota’s two picks, and it’s just a little insane to think the Wolves passed over him twice.
“With Steph, you start talking about picking him up right after halfcourt and then he does what he does with his handle and he can still create his shot because he has such an elusive handle and wonderful balance”.
Horford did his part last week, finishing with 23 points, 16 rebounds, six assists, five blocks and three steals, but the Splash Brothers outscored Atlanta’s starting backcourt of Jeff Teague and Kyle Korver 63-18.
In addition, former Warriors player Andrew Bogut took aim at the current Warriors by telling the San Jose Mercury News that his team in Melbourne, Australia could take on the National Basketball Association champs.
“It’s a pretty cool experience to try to keep setting the bar when it comes to shooting for three”, Curry said. The shot was also Curry’s 288th 3-pointer this season, coming on a night when he broke his own single-season record of 286 with 24 games left. “Had I not gone through the minor leagues, I would not have been able to handle something like this because in the minors guys get called up, guys go overseas, guys get injured, you can’t get guys into Bismarck or Sioux Falls on a drop of a hat. We don’t put too much into it. We just try and see how we’re playing and the competition”.
Kerr said the Warriors have to expect these kinds of dissections in today’s media climate.
