Curry: Warriors are talking about record winning streak
I believe Kobe Bryant should retire, and I’m going to go this far, Skip.
Kobe Bryant #24 of the Los Angeles Lakers talks with Head Coach Byron Scott during a 109-102 loss to the Cleveland Cavaliers at Staples Center on January 15, 2015 in Los Angeles, California. Bryant is averaging 7.0 three-point attempts per game, so those three-pointers play a massive role in the future Hall of Fame Laker’s horrific start to the season. This is the same Bryant who keeps talking about stepping back and deferring to the younger players.
“I know his mentality is that he can still play in this league”, Scott said. We accomplished it, and now we have to make sure that we don’t drop off and give a game away just because we broke this record.
Russell is only averaging 26 minutes per game so far and that has been a major discussion point. For me in the fourth quarter, in the last six or seven minutes, it’s really who has been playing the best at that time. The Lakers are sitting at a woeful 2-12 at the bottom of the conference and Kobe can not do anything about it.
“A streak like that in general is always a huge accomplishment”, said Warriors star point guard, Stephen Curry, postgame. I didn’t think the Lakers had a chance at winning, but i at least wanted to see the Lakers put up some resistance vs the Warriors.
The truth is that the Warriors do have a lot of work to do in order to break the Lakers’ mark, and it won’t be easy to win 18 more games, especially with road games against solid teams like the Phoenix Suns, Utah Jazz, and Toronto Raptors on their schedule.
Kobe Bryant’s impending retirement is dominating chatter at water coolers and barber shops across the nation. Bryant is now in his 20th National Basketball Association season, all of which he has spent with the Lakers. So now I see Kobe and he’s pump-faking because he’s scared they are going to block his shot.
Scott is handcuffed because he doesn’t want to sit Bryant despite his struggles.
Especially since Bryant matched his career-worst 1/14 shooting performance against the Golden State Warriors last night. Smith added in his rant that he doesn’t blame Bryant for his downfall, but “Father Time” and the Lakers franchise.
“I’m letting him try to find it for himself. It’s just not going to happen”. According to NBA.com, he has made just 25 percent of his pull-up jump shots, just over 31 percent of his open shots and just over 27 percent of open shots from outside of 10 feet.
