Cydia Impactor Unjailbreaks iOS Devices: Rewalled Garden
The latest iOS 9 packs in it a host of new features, including a change in font from Helvetica Neue to San Francisco and a long-awaited keyboard correction where the alphabets are in lower case by default and turning on the shift key now changes the colour of the arrow for better understanding. Although you can download it on your primary iPhone or iPad; Apple suggests that you consider using a secondary device to test the software.
One common complaint about major updates like iOS 9 is that it can degrade battery life and performance on older devices, but this is not normally as much of an issue on newer devices even though users may feel like their device is slowing down after a year.
Siri would also be able to provide users with easier browsing of Apple-stored digital information such as music of photos. Fondly called (by Apple) “App thinning”, your iPhone will now be capable of downloading apps that will download, install faster, launch faster, and take up less storage space on your iPhone 5. Some would still want to wait until all bugs have been fixed by the developers.
News app: There is also Apple’s News app which looks a lot like Flipboard and will have access to news content and articles.
The new iOS 9 would also feature keyboard improvements and multi-tasking modes that Time deem as useful enhancements to the software.
It is imperative to save your SHSH blobs on iOS 8.4 as Apple might close the signing window for the latest iOS firmware soon.
The new OS also has a Split View feature that allows two apps to be run and viewed side-by-side. Saurik, also warns that this tool won’t work for the iPod Touch 6th generation, so beware.
As always, you should back up your device prior to performing the unjailbreak and read the release notes.
