Cyrus Hosting ‘Saturday Night Live’ ‘With Or Without Clothing’

Clinton, like many an “SNL” guest, relied heavily on cue cards for most of her lines. The musical guest jokingly uttered how she wears overt accessories at one time. Longtime cast members like Seth Meyers, who hosted the “Weekend Update” segment for several years, recently departed, with Meyers going on to host the NBC program “Late Night”. Sure, she and McKinnon get in a few digs at the Keystone Pipeline, Trump, and Clinton’s early (but not too early) support for gay marriage, but Clinton makes Val a real character there behind that bar. She completed her throwback look with oversized mushroom earrings, a dab of blue eyeshadow, a boombox purse and dirty Chuck Taylor All-Stars.

Cyrus was seen in promotions for the upcoming episode.

“I don’t think she’s been from Montana for a long time”, the sketch joked, once again reminding us that Hannah Montana is way, way, way, way gone.

The established stable of political characters includes McKinnon’s diabolically hilarious Hillary Clinton, and Jay Pharoah’s precise, if unremarkable, take on Obama.

“I love the impersonations of me, first by Amy [Poehler], who’s a great friend, now by Kate [McKinnon]”, Clinton told Entertainment Tonight.

Her appearance comes after a summer of damaging press stories about her private emails server – a scandal that is still eating away at Clinton’s favorability ratings.

Newcomer Kate McKinnon has since taken over as Hillary, delivering a number of critically-praised sketches on the program last season.

Clinton herself made a cameo alongside Poehler in 2008. On the Today show this week, Weekend Update host Michael Che said that Cyrus is an “exciting performer” who “gets it and it’s always fun to work with somebody that’s like that”. She tweeted about it when it was first announced writing, “I’m hosting SNL October 10th!!!” “You’re easy to talk to, Val”, McKinnon’s Clinton said.

Hopefully she’ll just sing her answer: “Yeaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah”.
