Daft Punk tease identity behind the masks in ‘Unchained’ documentary trailer
The long-awaited Daft Punk documentary Daft Punk Unchained arrived on the French network Canal+ earlier this year.
The French duo have kept their faces hidden throughout the majority of their careers, with very little in the way of their true identity available to fans. “Who revolutionised Dance Music the most?”
“Daft Punk Unchained” has a worldwide release on the way.
And it looks like the duo, Guy-Manuel de Homem-Christo and Thomas Bangalter, will be taking off the headgear in a new documentary. The trailer ends with one of the members appearing to take off their helmet in a desert. West proposes. “I think you’d say Daft Punk“. Hervé Martin Delpierre directed the feature and co-wrote it with Marina Rozenman.
Ever since the release of Daft Punk’s most recent album Random Access Memories, everyone in the electronic community and beyond has been clamoring for a sign of their return. The documentary features appearances from the likes of Kanye West, Pharrell, Giorgio Moroder, and Nile Rodgers. Between fiction and reality, magic and secret, future and reinvention, theatricality and humility, The Robots have built a unique world.
