Dallas Cowboys and New Orleans Saints game tonight TV channel live stream

Drew Brees hit C.J. Spiller with a short pass that the running back turned into an 80-yard touchdown – the 400th of the Saints quarterback’s career – on the second play of overtime, and New Orleans won for the first time this season, 26-20 over the injury-decimated Cowboys on Monday night.

Along with Brees, several other players are listed as probable for Sunday’s matchup. On their first scoring drive, which traveled 80 yards over 10 plays, the Cowboys twice picked up first downs thanks to Saints’ penalties. With no time outs, Brees connected on passes of 7, 17, and 30 yards to get the Saints inside the Dallas 20. The Cowboys should focus on once again establishing the run against the Saints but also put Weeden in a position to make a few attempts at big plays down the field.

Carr wasn’t in the mood to talk about how the defense had given up an 80-yard, game-winning touchdown in overtime on nothing more than a simple swing pass to the right flat.

The Saints’ defense is pretty vulnerable to a potent ground game and their defensive secondary won’t be able to keep up with the Cowboys’ receiving corps.

Brees had said during his weekly media session on Wednesday he felt good about his chances for playing against Dallas.

Brees’ pass to Khiry Robinson was dropped, but on the second play, Brees hit Spiller in stride and the former Buffalo running back broke one tackle and streaked down the sidelines for the game victor. After a slow start to the season for the Saints’ star wide receiver, he’s gotten progressively better each week.

It was at least the third time Sunday Brees looked like he had won the game for the home team. If it’s a messy day, it might be hard for Philadelphia to throw as much as they’d like, and help the Redskins win this encounter behind talented tailback duo of Alfred Morris and Matt Jones. Payton said the quarterback’s work week and preps are looking sharp.

Brees completed 33-41 passes for 359 yards and two scores.

There are guys at each level of the Saints defense you have to account for (defensive end Cameron Jordan and a healthy safety Jairus Byrd could play for a lot of teams), but there aren’t enough of them.

Last year, the Saints averaged 4.5 yards per rush, but they were not considered one of the top rushing attacks in the NFL. Well, Weeden has responded, telling Todd Archer of ESPN that if the deep ball is there, that he’s going to let it rip.

The Cowboys played most of the game without weakside linebacker Sean Lee – their leading tackler – after he suffered a concussion in the first quarter.

But during the second half of last season, it became apparent those days are over.
