Dana White reveals options for Conor McGregor after beating Nate Diaz
If he doesn’t plan to defend his title, UFC president Dana White has stated that McGregor would have to vacate it.
“The Notorious” ensured that no doors were slammed shut on him by defeating Nate Diaz in the main event of UFC 202 on Saturday night, leaving many options open for his next bout.
“Yeah, um… We’re definitely not doing this a third time right now”.
When asked what substance the pen contained, Diaz, 31, said it was CBD oil – otherwise known as cannabidiol.
“It helps with the healing process and inflammation, stuff like that”, Diaz told the media. You want to get these before and after a fight, training. That doesn’t mean he doesn’t smoke weed, he just knows to not use it six hours before or after a fight. McGregor fought Diaz at 170 pounds, which was considerably more than where he had been competing in the UFC.
“I can confirm that USADA is aware of the situation and is now gathering information in order to determine the appropriate next steps”, said USADA spokesperson Ryan Madden.
Once again, one of the UFC’S Diaz brothers may be in trouble for partaking in cannabis ingestion in the state of Nevada.
Diaz (19-11) has never failed a drug test. After widespread outcry, that was reduced to 18 months, plus a $100,000 fine that reportedly has not been fully paid, in January.
What’s next for Conor McGregor? He identified that as the product he was using at the press conference.
What seems evident is that Khan will continue to try and talk himself into some kind of fight with McGregor, and seems to be going about it in a civil fashion as opposed to the usual trash talk call outs.
