‘Dancing With the Stars’ season 21 updates: Kim Zolciak-Biermann withdraws
When the recovering Kim Zolciak-Biermann’s future on last night’s Dancing with the Stars results show was revealed, fans were blindsided. “Don’t let the oxygen scare you, it’s just protocol”, she captioned a hospital selfie on Friday. “I have the most incredible husband (thanks for being my rock) and 6 unbelievable kids! I mean, the family comes first, health comes first”. Kim Zolciak could have danced, but she couldn’t fly to get back to the competition. News through her representative Jack Ketsoyan, Zolciak said that she want to thank everybody for their love and support in the last few days.
Kim suffered from mini-stroke last week and was stuck at her home in Atlanta.
Her pro partner, Tony Dovolani, said he wished her well. “I don’t know if you know but I rehearsed on Saturday”, she said, explaining that she practiced a routine for tonight’s show but was advised by doctors that she should not fly to Los Angeles. Zolciak had no idea that they planned to cut her and was totally blindsided by the announcement.
“I think the show handled it right”.
She’s also received plenty of well wishes on social media, with Dancing with the Stars’ Allison Holker reaching out to her colleague. “I’m really happy for her that she’s taking care of herself, but I’m sad to be out of the competition”, he said, adding, “She was showing signs of improvement!”
Bad blood may have caused Kim Zolciak’s premature departure from “Dancing with the Stars”. Fans are trying to get Kim Zolciak and Tony Dovolani back on the show next week. Zolciak added on her Instagram post that she’s confident she will be released from the hospital right away.
Dancing With the Stars airs Monday nights at 8 p.m. on ABC.
According to host Tom Bergeron during the telecast, the move was done in accordance to show rules, which state that missing a performance due to health concerns would lead to a forced exit for the contestant.
