‘Dancing with the Stars’ Season 23 victor of the Mirror Ball Trophy
Olympic gold medalist Laurie Hernandez was crowned the victor of season 23 of Dancing With The Stars, it was announced in Tuesday’s live finale. Or will it be underdogs James Hinchcliffe, the Indy Car driver, or Calvin Johnson Jr., the National Football League superstar, both of whom have surprised us all with their grace and personalities on the dance floor? In the last element of competition, the couples performed a new routine as part of a “24-Hour Fusion Challenge”.
On Tuesday’s Dancing With the Stars, the final three contestants danced for the mirror ball.
Val, who cried on several occasions while working with his special partner, said on GMA that Laurie brings out a “beautiful joy and sense of gratitude” in “millions of people”. But Laurie and Val’s foxtrot-and-Argentine-tango combo must have won some hearts, because she came home with the big prize of the night.
“Honestly, I feel like they tied (with) each other”.
After 11 weeks of competition, “Dancing with the Stars” finally crowned a champion for season 23, and was there ever any doubt?
And without further ado, the victor of the Mirror Ball trophy is …
“I said, ‘It’s okay.’ A number of times I’ve messed up …” When asked if she will be placing her “DWTS” trophy beside her Olympic medals, the 16-year-old said that she probably will “or maybe like in the center of my house”. “She was outstanding this season”.
“I’m excited that she’s going on tour with us”, Chmerkovskiy told Us.
Bruno: What a class act James is. One of the really wonderful freestyle routines tonight was Johnson and pro partner Lindsay Arnold’s. Carrie Ann praised Calvin’s “X-factor” and thinks he makes the world a better place. Judge Julianne Hough said, “That was unbelievable”. I am so emotional watching you guys because that dance completely captured your relationship and friendship.
On Tuesday evening Olympic gold medalist Laurie Hernandez became the youngest ever victor of ‘Dancing With The Stars’.
