‘Dancing with the Stars’ Week 7 spoilers: ‘Halloween Night’ [WATCH VIDEO]
SPOILER ALERTIn jeopardy this week: Hayes, Tamar and Alexa. To continue her streak towards the Mirror Ball trophy, this week she has to do a frightening foxtrot set to “People Are Strange” by The Doors made Halloween-y thanks to a fog machine, a gown straight out of Elvira’s closet, and copious amounts of guy-liner on Val. Due to a few errors, the scores were less than flawless.
Alexa was in tears last week after the judges thought she missed the essence of Britney Spears in her routine – never mind that giant Burmese python she draped over her shoulders. Nick Carter – 24 out of 30; plus 30 for team dance – 54 total Nick has the right attitude about this being a competition.
The likable student had morphed into a teen wolf for a moody waltz with his British partner Emma Slate. The judges praised their chemistry as Bruno said his lines “were controlled and beautifully placed”.
Hough noted the difference in the 15-year-old’s maturity.
Even eternal rays of sunshine like Bindi Irwin got into the Halloween spirit for a night of dances that were nearly too much fun. “Emma, you’ve been all I could ask for and more”.
Not once to mince words, Braxton kicked off her performance with a claim in her rehearsal package that she was “the best dancer”. Maks, Val, and Tony assembled an all-star cast of the best dancers in the world to headline three installments of “SWAY”. The judges gave them 28 points.
It’s weird to have this as a paso doble.
Carrie Ann: I thought it worked because it was a twisted Paso.
Julianne loves Nick’s attitude but says the kicks and flicks were a little clunky. The YouTube personality earned 26 points.
The “Dancing With The Stars” couple was praised for their performance, especially for Irwin.
Which team do you think will rock Halloween week on DWTS Monday night?
“So strong. It was so awesome”, added Hough. She was missing the precision of the dance.
The hero returned to the dance floor. “It’s trying to push yourself and trying to get as much out of yourself as possible, and seeing what you’re capable of”, Irwin reflected.
Pena Vega edged out his wife again, this time as the phantom of the ballroom.
Adam Taylor/ABC Derek Hough and Bindi Irwin perform on “DWTS”. Bruno liked the grand operatic feel and the masterful cape work but it wasn’t entirely ideal because Carlos lost his balance at the beginning.
Hayes Grier andEmma Slater were the sixth pair eliminated on Monday’s “Dancing With The Stars” after receiving the lowest number of votes from the previous week.
After one individual dance each the contestants split into two teams – named Nightmare and Who You Gonna Call. The other team looked really good today.
Since we’re down to a fairly manageable seven couples left, let’s run down tonight’s dances from least favorite to favorite!
‘I don’t want to be the weakest link, ‘ fretted Alek Skarlatos. “You were all on fire”, said Tonioli. Their team name? “Who You Gonna Call”, of course. Team #WhoYouGonnaCall is Bindi, Alexa, Carlos and Alek.
