‘Dancing with the Stars’: Who’s going home tonight? Alek? Carlos? Nick?
The final four contestants on “Dancing With the Stars” each pulled out all the stops for tonight’s season 21 semifinals, and with three routines, the pressure was on to perform well enough to make it to next week’s finale. However, it was revealed that there will only be four couples competing in the finals. Only time and Tom Bergeron will tell. And since Tamar and Val had to leave, odds are there won’t be an elimination.
Bruno: He did such a good job and he can’t believe how far he has come. Well, let’s find out if that holds true in the ballroom.
Has there ever been a more flawless pairing of dancer and song choice? They scored a neat 28 points, with Bruno saying that the dance was like watching Tarzan. It was a fun dance for sure, but a few of the judges were hoping for a little more edge in a dance like the Salsa.
“Thank you for the endless hugs, late night conversations about life, holding my hand when a loud noise scares me and laughing along with all my bindi moments”, Irwin continued. In that message, Irwin writes that Chandler is “a person who inspires me every day”. Alek’s parents and his childhood friends, fellow members of Team Takedown, talked about his dedication to the military and his regular-guy attitude even after becoming an global symbol. Carlos actually won this spicy mess of a dance-off, but at least Round 2 got Alek all hot and bothered for the night’s (his life’s?) main event: the Argentine tango trio with her majesty Emma Slater. But all of the extra work he’s putting in to compensate really pays off tonight.
Carrie Ann: It was over danced, especially in his face.
The judges like it and give them triple 9s for a 27 out of 30. He looked dashing in a suit while gliding across the floor to “America the Beautiful” arranged and performed exquisitely by Ray Chew. He found a makeshift family in Backstreet Boys, but the fame quickly went to his head and he started the drinking-and-drugging that’s common to overnight sensations. Head here for more details. Bruno said the routine showed his strengths and called it “very, very effective”.
Would Carlos (better dancer) or Alek (bigger fan base) be left standing by the end of the night? The only thing bringing him back?
With partner Sharna Burgess by his side, Carter explained, “We had a little slip from the arm grab which made it snowball a little bit”. Seriously, I think I need a clip of Sharna winking at me to play on a loop any time I’m feeling down about myself. She also shared this intimate pic of the two of them.
