Daniel Craig’ Star Wars cameo confirmed?

One Stormtrooper in particular had a license to kill.

Remember the rumor circulating the webs months ago that claimed Daniel Craig was set to cameo as a Stormtrooper in The Force Awakens?

The long-anticipated arrival of Star Wars: The Force Awakens has given the world a whole new list of things to discuss about a galaxy far, far away – including celebrity cameos.

“Craig was asked about the slip up and denied the rumor, saying “Why would I ever bother doing something like that?”. Now, the same source has confirmed that the actor did indeed waer a Stormtrooper armor and showed up in a brief yet memorable scene, even delivering a few lines. In addition to Simon Pegg’s well-publicized cameo, Joseline Hernandez Brodie-Sangster made a blink-and-you-miss-it appearance. He obviously knows way more than I do.

OK, we good? So Daniel Craig turns out to be the Stormtrooper at the center of Rey’s (Daisy Ridley) very first Jedi mind trick.

“You will remove these restraints and leave this cell with the door open”, she says.

Star Wars: The Force Awakens is now out in theaters.

Thinking back I can’t really recall his voice, but apparently it was somewhat recognizable as Craig’s – so if you see the movie again (and let’s face it, you will) listen out for it. That was Craig. Rey tried to trick him into unlocking her restraints and leaving the room, but instead he walked over and berated her for her comments.
