Speaking to The Guardian, Cumberbatch was quizzed on his own desire to become the next James Bond. He’s made millions off of his stint in the franchise, not to mention lifetime world fame.
After the success of Skyfall it was reported he brokered a deal to be paid £31 million for his next two 007 films, including the soon-to-be-released Spectre, the 24th film in the franchise.
A Hollywood insider told PageSix: “Craig is pretentious and thinks he’s better than Bond, that it doesn’t give him the creative range he needs”.
Craig’s rumored concern that he won’t be able to get another “big hit” role is valid, if history is any indication. All we know for sure is that Daniel Craig will be back for at least one more outing as James Bond, whether he likes it or not. Octopussy has the highest body count with 64 kills (although 49 of those kills occur when Bond tricks a missile into destroying a hangar full of enemy soldiers), while The Man with the Golden Gun has the lowest kill count, with Bond only killing one person during the entire movie.
“The current bookies” fave is Tom Hardy, with odds of 4/1.

When asked whether he could imagine doing another Bond movie, he said: “Now?”
“Good luck to them”, he said. “All I want to do is move on”, the publication quoted Craig as saying.
